A Laxe to Poente-Ulla - 22.5 miles

It was by far the longest and hardest days I had but it was also one of the nicest. As much as I want to reach Santiago, I don't want this journey to end. I actually forgot what day it was until someone reminded me yesterday, what a lovely feeling. The walk started off next to the motorway but it quickly changed to a more idyllic setting: lots of green and gorgeous views. I did have more breaks than before but they mostly included a freezing foot bath so I could carry on walking. Today I've officially finished the Camino Invierno and joined the Camino Sanabres until Santiago. I could see the difference: more signs, more bars, more hostels and more peregrines (pilgrims). The last 2 miles were hell, going downhill at 45 degrees while my feet were on fire. It was a slow and painful process. My host was an absolute superstar: she kindly prepared a cold bath when I arrived and even got some liquid to rub on my feet o help with the swelling. I'll owe her for life. Walking to the shop for more food was not easy but it was a necessity.

Tomorrow I shall walk into Santiago.

So many thoughts.

So many feelings.

Let's start with utter JOY.

Traveling is my happy place—there's nothing quite like the thrill of being in the middle of nowhere with nothing but my backpack, the open trail, and my own thoughts. Give me 12 hours of hiking, a lot of water, a little food, and a whole lot of unknown, and I’m completely in my element. I’m proud to say I don’t exactly fit the mold—maybe I’m a little wild, definitely adventurous, possibly a bit of a lunatic, and 100% alive. I believe life is meant to be lived, not watched from the sidelines. So here I am, chasing joy, chasing trails, and occasionally chasing my own sanity.
Come along for the ride! Dive into my stories and see the world the way I do—one unforgettable adventure at a time.
