Walton to Cawfields - 15 miles

After yesterday's downpour I was ecstatic for a dry day. I started the day in style, full English with a view ...... wearing 4 layers and shivering like a leaf but I loved it. Less than an hour away I crossed a small field where a curious bunch, about 20 sheep, started following me for a good 5 minutes, it freaked me out at first, until I remembered that they are mostly vegetarian. And then I met the famous WALL. First, it was nice, then lovely, then amazing and then just WOW. Being able to walk next to such a historical thing was a bit surreal, I thought a warden or guard would pop out any second if I touched it. Just info: there wasn't one so you should be OK :) At this point, both my knees were competing with melons, so I did the only thing that I could: I ignored it. After a while, my mind cleared and it came down to left, right, left, right, water and food. The views were stunning and the people I met on the way were just lovely, helpful and very chatty. I stayed at a small farmhouse with a great view and didn't even bother to leave it for dinner.

It was a long and very painful day but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Traveling is my happy place—there's nothing quite like the thrill of being in the middle of nowhere with nothing but my backpack, the open trail, and my own thoughts. Give me 12 hours of hiking, a lot of water, a little food, and a whole lot of unknown, and I’m completely in my element. I’m proud to say I don’t exactly fit the mold—maybe I’m a little wild, definitely adventurous, possibly a bit of a lunatic, and 100% alive. I believe life is meant to be lived, not watched from the sidelines. So here I am, chasing joy, chasing trails, and occasionally chasing my own sanity.
Come along for the ride! Dive into my stories and see the world the way I do—one unforgettable adventure at a time.
