Wall to Matfen - 10.9 miles

This felt like a lazy day; cloudy but warm, gentle hills with great views and a lot of breaks to enjoy them all. I even had time for a hot chocolate at a great pub. But the highlight of my day has to go to my amazing bubble bath at the B&B - wow, a few things should never be taken for granted, a bubble bath is one of them. So, I had two :). My hosts were beyond amazing, they washed and dried all my clothes for free, they gave me a lift to the local pub and even collected me after. Sometimes a thank you just doesn't seem enough but they were extremely gracious about it. A lovely quiet evening was balm to my mind, a blessing for my knees and I spent most of it reading and relaxing. It was with great surprise realising that I didn't know what day of the week it was; what a great feeling.

Traveling is my happy place—there's nothing quite like the thrill of being in the middle of nowhere with nothing but my backpack, the open trail, and my own thoughts. Give me 12 hours of hiking, a lot of water, a little food, and a whole lot of unknown, and I’m completely in my element. I’m proud to say I don’t exactly fit the mold—maybe I’m a little wild, definitely adventurous, possibly a bit of a lunatic, and 100% alive. I believe life is meant to be lived, not watched from the sidelines. So here I am, chasing joy, chasing trails, and occasionally chasing my own sanity.
Come along for the ride! Dive into my stories and see the world the way I do—one unforgettable adventure at a time.
