Rodeiro to A Laxe - 19.5 miles

Another early start but I had an amazing 20C today. After a bit of road walking I changed to a dirt road, then a forest walk, then a stream walk which morphed into a seriously deep mud walk (bless the person who invented gaiters) and back to a normal hill/forest walk. It definitely kept things interesting. My favourite spot today was Eirexa with a lovely church and a nice fountain, great for a rest stop. I was conscious of the rain forecast at 4 pm but I didn't let it stop me from enjoying. I took my sweet time to enjoy the moment and to take a few hundred pictures, as always. The cute little hamlets, the colourful fields and the lovely backdrop made the long walk very enjoyable. My destination today was a SPA hotel, YEAY, I really couldn't resist the pool and the sauna. I guess I needed a bit of pampering and the biggest pizza I could find. My feet were still my main worry, they were throbbing like African drums but otherwise, I was ready to rock the longest stretch of the journey tomorrow.

Traveling is my happy place—there's nothing quite like the thrill of being in the middle of nowhere with nothing but my backpack, the open trail, and my own thoughts. Give me 12 hours of hiking, a lot of water, a little food, and a whole lot of unknown, and I’m completely in my element. I’m proud to say I don’t exactly fit the mold—maybe I’m a little wild, definitely adventurous, possibly a bit of a lunatic, and 100% alive. I believe life is meant to be lived, not watched from the sidelines. So here I am, chasing joy, chasing trails, and occasionally chasing my own sanity.
Come along for the ride! Dive into my stories and see the world the way I do—one unforgettable adventure at a time.
